About this Presenter

Heather Liddell is an Assistant Professor at Purdue University with a joint appointment in the departments of Environmental & Ecological Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. Her research focuses on technology and systems strategies to improve the environmental sustainability of industrial processes and products. She currently teaches Purdue’s graduate level course in Carbon Accounting & Sustainability and an undergraduate course in engineering design. Prior to joining Purdue, Heather served as the Program Manager for Analysis and Modeling at Energetics, where she worked closely with DOE’s Industrial Efficiency and Decarbonization Office to develop strategies for resource-efficient and decarbonized manufacturing in the United States. Heather holds BS and MS degrees in mechanical engineering, and a PhD in materials science, all from the University of Rochester.
